Too many will not take accountability for their own participation in the problems that surround them. This piece of art was my expression of frustration with this reality. Inspired by a friend, I turned this work of art into an invitation for dialogue about the necessity of accountability.

Laura Brightwood is a professional artist. She is a published illustrator for multiple children's books. She has been a commissioned artist for human and animal portraiture for over a decade. Using both digital and traditional mediums, Laura is an artist who resides in Hillsborough, NC, just outside of Chapel Hill, home of UNC and Tarheels. Laura works as an artist and writer in Cary, NC. Laura is a native of Kentucky, having completed both her undergraduate and masters studies in the Bluegrass state. She is writer, researcher, and psychologist as well. But most importantly, the mother of one amazing little girl.
