Laura Brightwood is a professional fine art and digital artist, writer and psychotherapist. You can find her illustrations within children's literature, and and array of pop culture outlets. Laura's commissioned human and animal portraiture has been the delight of many. Using both digital and traditional mediums, Laura is an artist who begins from the elements of fine art and uses the technology of digital mediums to blend the two. She is often sited for her odd sense of humor and wit in whimsical design. She resides in Hillsborough, NC, just outside of Chapel Hill, home of UNC and Tarheels. Laura works a artist and writer and psychotherapist. Laura is a native of Kentucky, having completed both her undergraduate and graduate studies in the Bluegrass state. But most importantly, she is the mother of three fantastic kids who make each day a living work of art.
